Here is our recommended guide that covers everything you need to know to keep your play mat looking beautiful for years to come.

First Things First

Unbox and settle in.

Welcome to effortless playtime! Your Kidity Play Mat will arrive tightly folded and vacuum sealed. This is to ensure a safe and efficient shipping experience. 

When you first unbox your rug, it is completely normal to notice:

• Minor temporary creases or compression marks.
• The play mat may feel slightly flat due to packaging compression.

This happens because the memory foam core has been compressed during transit.

To help your play mat return to its full plushness:

• Unroll the playmat and let it breathe: After unsealing the vacuum bag, unroll the mat onto a flat surface.
• Let it relax: Because our mats are made from premium memory foam, they need a little time to relax and settle. Allow 24 hours for the mat to fully expand .
• Ready to enjoy: Once expanded, it's ready for endless playtime adventures!

Keeping Your Playmat Clean

Like all quality products, your Kidity play mat rewards a little care. Our mats are designed to be vacuum-safe, wipe-clean, no soaking, no washing machine required. 

Daily Cleaning

• Vacuum regularly using a low suction setting to remove crumbs, dust and small debris from the plush surface.

Regular light cleaning helps maintain a hygienic and comfortable play space for little ones.

Spot Cleaning

For small spills such as milk, water, food or other minor messes:

• Blot the spill immediately using a clean, dry cloth or paper towel.
• Prepare a mild detergent mixed with warm water.
• Gently dab the affected area with a soft cloth.
• Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the fabric surface.
• Allow the rug to air dry completely.

Prompt cleaning helps prevent stains from setting into the fabric to maintain the longevity and freshness of your play mat.

Deeper Cleaning

For heavier stains such as vomit, food spills or accidents, a steam upholstery cleaner such as *Bissell spot cleaners may be used to help lift stains from the fabric surface.

When using a steam cleaner:

• Use a gentle or upholstery setting where possible.
• Avoid oversaturating the playmat with water.
• Always allow the play mat to fully air dry before use.

Outdoor Use

• Kidity play mats are designed and intended for indoor use. However, with the right precautions and for short periods, they can also be enjoyed outdoors.
• If using outdoors: Choose a shaded and protected spot with a smooth, clean surface. Keep sessions short and bring the mat back inside afterwards.
